In the first half of March, the city of Novy Urengoy (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) once again became a key meeting hub for oil and gas professionals. From March 12 to 13, the Yamal Business Center hosted the "Gas. Oil. New Technologies for the Far North 2026" exhibition, where specialists from SIAM took an active part. This year, in addition to the well-known instruments and solutions already familiar to customers, the company presented its latest development in the field of Digital Workover (Digital KRS). The core value of this new product lies in its ability to make workover operations more predictable and safer. Furthermore, the system is fully compatible with third-party workover automation solutions.
The solution developed by SIAM is designed for intelligent, automated well-level measurement. It ensures continuous monitoring of static and dynamic fluid levels, recording any changes during workovers and tripping operations without the need for manual operator intervention.
The system facilitates the prompt detection of deviations between actual level behavior and expected values (based on the calculated fluid balance). This allows personnel to receive timely alerts regarding potential signs of gas, oil, and water inflows, circulation losses, or other complications during the killing or flushing process.
The proposed complex provides accurate and intuitive data on level fluctuations, which specialists use to make informed decisions regarding safety, adjustment of fluid top-up modes, and accident prevention. This approach increases the predictability of well behavior during workovers, reduces the risk of complications, and contributes to the safer and more cost-effective management of the well stock.
The company’s stand also featured its traditional solutions, including surface and downhole pressure gauges with a calibration interval of up to 15 years, «SPSK-SIAM» permanent downhole monitoring systems, electric winches for tripping operations, and various software products: Siam Data Spectrum, BD Siam, and Siam Well Test.
This year, the event brought together 67 exhibiting companies and attracted over 3,500 oil and gas industry specialists. The forum’s business program focused on strategic objectives for Arctic development and technological sovereignty. We are pleased that our colleagues highly commended our developments—at the conclusion of the exhibition, TSIIC SIAM LLC was awarded a diploma for its contribution to the development of the region's oil and gas complex.
